St. Louis’ own Voodoo Blues Band debut release. This CD is dedicated to the late Bennie Smith. It was recorded and mixed by Tim Albert at Dogshew Studio, 2007.
Dedication:
The Voodoo Blues Band has been the house band for the weekly Sunday jam session at Hammerstone’s in historic Soulard for over 10 years running. Although many wonderful musicians have been in the band during that time, none has been more special than our fallen colleague, St. Louis blues guitar legend Bennie Smith. Bennie was a regular member of the band for many, many years, and served as a mentor and inspiration to us all. It was truly an honor to play with him, and we will miss him terribly. The Voodoo Blues Band would like to dedicate this CD to Bennie. Here’s to you, Bennie--the “Master of the Stratocaster”!
